Dehumanization and extermination
The dehumanization and extermination of the Armenian genocide is comparable to that of the Jewish genocide during World War I and in the novel Night by Elie Wiesel. Night tells us how the Jews were killed cruelly and almost exterminated. The Jews were killed cruelly along with the Armenians. The weapon of choice for both the Turks and the Hutu was a Machete. In all situations the victims were treated very poorly and all ended in a large amount of deaths.
The dehumanization in the Armenian genocide can be very much compared to that of the dehumanization in Night . They were both forced to walk very far distances without food and water and tortured along the way to these very desolate areas. The victims were also very severely beat on a regular bases. The extermination can also be greatly compared to that of the situation of Night. The people weren't fed regularly and treated in the worst ways imaginable. The situation in Hotel Rwanda was very short and so was the Armenian genocide which only lasted approximately three years. All three situations were a great loss to the world population.
